USDA - Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Initiative
Dear USDA Employees - Perhaps you already know, on October 21,
2004, President Bush signed an Executive Order to demonstrate the
Nation’s appreciation for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned
Small Business (SDVOSB) owners whose disabilities were incurred
while serving in the Armed Forces. To achieve this objective, the
President’s Executive Order established a mandated procurement
goal of 3% of the Government’s annual budget for SDVOSB.
In order for USDA to meet their SDVOSB goal, Agriculture Secretary
Mike Johanns recently announced an initiative to increase the number
of contracts USDA awards to disabled veterans who own small businesses.
On behalf of that initiative, USDA awarded Four Points Technology
- a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business - a Blanket
Purchase Agreement (BPA) with USDA to provide IT hardware. So,
you now have the ability to easily procure many of the IT products
you desire through a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business.
Here's a brief summary of our company Four Points Technology:
The President and owner of Four Points Technology is David “Chief” Gilchrist.
Chief Gilchrist is a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer with over
20 years experience in government programs, contracts and logistics,
and personnel management. Retired as a Service-Disabled Veteran, “Chief” Gilchrist
saw action while on active duty in Desert Shield, Desert Storm,
and Bosnia. Four Points Technology is dedicated to providing integrated
products and services to the government. This USDA BPA is specifically
for IT hardware.
I have included a copy of our current line card highlighting the
contractdetails of the USDA agreement as well as many of the manufacturers
we offer.Additionally, since the USDA contract allows for teaming
agreements between GSA schedule holders, our offering is almost
limitless.
I hope you will take a moment to review our attached information.
We at Four Points are very excited about this opportunity with
USDA and greatly appreciate the commitment your agency and its
management is showing to the Veteran community.
